The process for Life Experience Evaluation is quite simple. Interested students contact the Office of the Academic Dean to begin the evaluation process. Although individually molded to meet the needs of each particular student, the following are generally required for the college to formulate its decision: 1. Detailed resume listing work, ministry, and educational history 2. Copies of transcripts for all previous education (if applicable) 3. Three references (at least one pastoral) who can attest to your character and academic excellence Once all of your materials arrive the review process is usually completed within two weeks. The committee's findings are shared with the applicant, and if a life experience degree is granted, the admission offer will include... - degree level and major awarded - tuition for the degree For more information please contact Dean Pandel at (540) 984-8898 or dean@kingdombiblecollege.org.
Transfer Credits
Kingdom accepts transfer credits from approved colleges for courses on which a grade of C or better was earned. The student must submit official transcripts sent directly from the college to Kingdom. Acceptance of transfer credits is subject to the approval of the Office of the Academic Dean. Kingdom routinely deals with transfer students whose credits or degrees were earned from non-accredited colleges or from colleges that are no longer in operation. Every effort is made to provide recognition for these studies. Contact the Office of the Academic Dean if you have questions concerning your previous studies.
Credits by Examination
Qualified applicants who have a minimum of five years of active, ministerial experience, are eligible to apply for credit through examination. Eligibility is determined at the time of academic evaluation.
Minimum Required Courses
Even though students often apply to Kingdom with numerous life experience and/or transfer credits, a minimum number of semester credit hours must be completed through Kingdom for the awarding of any diploma or degree except in approved cases. This is considered at the time of academic evaluation and is determined by the degree level, major, and the nature of the credit hours being transferred.
Transcript of Credit
A transcript of credit will be issued by the Registrar’s Office upon receipt of a written, signed request from the student. Students receive a ‘student copy’ of the transcript at the completion of their program. Official transcripts are those sent directly from Kingdom to another college or authorized agency. Transcripts are not issued until all academic and financial requirements have been fulfilled. Official transcripts or additional student copies are available at the cost of $25.00 per transcript.
